******PLEASE HELP!!!! ***** Long story short my employer is discriminating against women giving birth at a certain time As of April 6th , 2016 Wells Fargo had rolled out new benefits for its employees. This benefit being 16 weeks of maternity leave at 100 % pay. However the unfortunate side of this is it will go into effect on June 1st. For those of us who are delivering before then we are being offered 6 weeks at 65% pay and no accommodations for the extra weeks once the date of June 1st hits. We've reached out and gotten an answer of "No changes are being made just move on as if you hadn't seen the update". We as employees would expect the company to be compassionate about the situation and understand that our time with our son or daughter is just as important as anyone else’s and should not be cut short due to a “deadline” . We have asked the company to take into consideration the animosity that this will bring between employees and rethink the changes we have suggested. We have since gotten no response. The suggestion we have asked them to think about would be giving the remaining weeks of leave to employees who become eligible while on STD . For example : An employee is due to deliver on May 14th. By the time June 1st hits that employee will be 3 weeks into the STD program and would receive the remaining 13 weeks per the new benefit policy. we have been told no. We have put together a petition to try and enact a change. Every signature or share would help. Please help us get the benefits we deserve. Every other bank has enacted changes like this. Below is the petition.

It is unfair. I don't get anything though so it's something to be grateful for! Sorry you're dealing with this 😓

yes it's unfair but there are women like me who don't even have the luxury of staying out even 6 wks. the only good thing my employers did was let me work less cause we don't use childcare. are you more worried about the leave or being able to pump ..now I'm confused cause all I saw was about maternity leave. legally employment should allow a area for pumping.

@babizehm16, the point is it's unfair and discrimination to some mothers. Especially when we have to pump every 2 hours. It's either make it fair for everyone or don't implement changes.

better then unpaid maternity leave like I had...would love to had 65%of pay so I could've stayed out 6 weeks instead coming back 2.5 weeks after giving birth...

Anyone check their stimulus status & have it say not available? I don’t know why my eligibility would have changed or they don’t have enough info when my first one went through fine 😓

2sweetie Maybe you need to re-enter your bank info? We got our stimulus on Friday 👏 Last time
heatherlou88 My first one said that for like 3-4 days then finally updated the mailing date.

So we have no food in our house and no money so whatever we had I let my husband and kids eat. I'm so hungry. I haven't eaten since yesterday. I wish we weren't so behind on rent. Next week we have to pay our phone bill and the week after we have to pay rent again. I'm so sick on not being able to have food in our home.
