I've tried the nipple shield he just spits it out ... same with bottle nipples the only ones he will take are the medela bottle nipples the hospital gave him

Im on night one at home and my son doesn't open his mouth wide enough even with a nipple shield. ive been hand expressing some colostrum so he can at least get what he needs. im so sore from him latching wrong the first time but i was told im doing everything right & baby just needs more practice but I dont want to dry up and I dont want to give up
