Oh my goodness the past week has flown by! It isn't the newborn that is stressful, its everyone else! My baby is an angel. My in laws have me close to homicidal. Who asks brand new parents to haul things for them because we're the only (reliable) ones with a pick-up? Oh your daughter AND her boyfriend have one, but you don't want them to lose sleep because they work nights? But its okay to make my baby get sunburnt at four days old because I haven't even had a chance to buy sunblock? Literally my entire week.
@kreeblim, we live 30min away, and only have the one vehicle, and god forbid they have to make the long drive. The first few days I was scared to be alone because I had moments where I was too weak to even pick him up, so the only option was to go with him.
@marce88, he was very jaundiced for his first week, my doctor actually recommended getting some indirect sunlight, problem is I glow in the dark. Like compare me to hospital bed sheets and I'm whiter. He, of course, has my skin tone. So I figure in the trade off between using sunblock and not, using it wins.
I wish it was easy enough to just tell in-laws no. Any chances of just borrowing them the truck and you not doing anything?
@gingyrex, I'm so sorry. That's rough.
