I was reading that it's good for babies to not be washed everyday because they are less likely to get sick because it helps their immune system. Plus I am not entirely sure that all baby bath products are safe! I know that Johnson&Johnson; uses trace amounts of formaldehyde in their soaps. Not sure about other companies but that worries me. And I was told that lotions are okay but not as an everyday thing. And coconut oil for cradle cap and extra dry skin issues. So I dunno if you trust your doctor then go for it! But I do what I was told by several different nurses, a neonatologist, and my pediatrician. @babynessa
My daughter's doctor told me its fine to give my daughter a bath every day. Also good to get her on a routine like that. Only thing she told me not to do is put lotion or baby oil on her. Instead to use coconut oil or olive oil for dry skin. @mrzhyde
I was told by the nurses at the NICU to only bathe them 2-3 times a week because their skin is sensitive and stripping them of their natural oils too often is bad. You can do what I call the wipey bath which is if they are smelly and already had a bath you can wipe them down with a wipey to get rid of milk dribbles and what not. I mean rinsing them off without soap all the time is fine, but an actual full bath everyday at that age is bad!!!! The rule of thumb for all babies is to wait until six months. Six months they can use sunscreen, bug spray, and be bathed as often as you want. @babynessa @breannapacheco2016 @hellosweetie @mommasb
You can bathe them as much as you need to, if they are dirty wash them lol but it is advised to only fully wash them every other day, because it can cause skin problems if you strip them of their natural oils every day like that, and can also lower how much immunities they naturally get as well!
As many times as you want to take your baby a shower. I know my sister takes her kids a shower in the morning when they wake up, right after dinner and one in the middle of the day if their dirty.
