so, tomorrow my daughter will be 4 months and she's been sleeping in our room since birth, she's outgrown her bassinet she sleeps in, and now her rocker. for the cosleeping mommies, how did you cope with putting your baby in their crib?? if we didn't have one of those cribs with the changer attached that turns into a toddler bed then a day bed and full bed, I'd have her crib in our room

. I'm just really nervous about sleeping in separate rooms...

please, advice is needed. :(

@countyourblessings05, Well dear, that's a bummer I'm sorry. Don't give up though. I suggest just doing a lot of research about the topic so you can give proper constructive reasons for him. He has the right to his views but so do you. And mommas have strong strong intuition for their babies wellbeing.

@countyourblessings05 Yes so you see, you deserve to stand up to what your gut tells you is best. Don't abandon your instinct just because it causes some disturbances. Ignoring your instincts is also not helpful for your baby and you know that standing up to your views is an important role modeling to your child as well. Do talk it out, I'm very glad you're reconsidering :) Stay strong ❤

exactly! I tell him that all the time, but he wants her to learn independence now...

I would rather have her with me, 24/7 and have her know that I'm with her no matter what.. that's why I don't let her cry it out (no more than a couple minutes at least) lol. yeah, I think we should talk this out.. I'm just not ready for sleeping separately yet...

@countyourblessings05 It's the worry that she'll be clingy that'll more likely make her clingy than the long periods of co-sleeping ever will. Trust me there's no way a human will not get sick of their parents being with them all the time at one point or another. 😉 The whole point of it is to give them your all when they can benefit from it so that they understand that you're there for them and have a close bond together and let them figure out their want for independence in due time. Things like these are worthy of talking through, you know !

I will still co-sleep til baby is 3 years or more. It's good to give them plenty of together time, they won't always want to sleep next to you for the rest of their lives 😜

Baby sleeping in their room?

Baby sleeping in their room? How many of yalls babies are sleeping in their own room already? This is my baby's 3rd night alone in her room. She does GREAT! Sleeps better and longer in her crib. I wasn't planning on letting her sleep alone yet but my husband put her to sleep one night and put her in her room. We were both thinking she'll wake up soon and then I'll just put her in the bassinet in our room. Well, she never woke up until 7:30am ?. I was shocked! She would usually wake up twice at night to eat and then fall asleep in my bed. But in her crib, she slept all night. I'm actually very sad about this. I miss her ?I'm having a hard time having her in her bedroom. How are you ladies coping with your baby in another room?
