just a small rant no negative comments please. but im glad they passed the federal law to drug test moms and new born babies and if they test positive dhs has to get involved i find it unfair women are making the decision to do drugs pregnant if you cant give that piss poor life up dont have a child because your making that decision for your unborn child who cant speak for themself to get addicted to whatever drug your choosing. dont make decisions for an innocent new life to live like you do just because you chose that life doesnt mean thats what your child wants and its not fair to make that choice for them. give it up or dont be a parent it isnt that hard of a decision honestly.

YES!!!! this!!!! I was a NICU mom and I witnessed first hand the horrible life of preemie drug addicted babies! THERE IS NO EXCUSE! Drug tests should be mandated!

YES👐👐👐 I agree 100% I personally thing drug test should be administered EVERY prenatal appointment, it's very sad that babies are being born addicted to things. DHR/CPS should stay involved with those that fail.

yeah its sad im glad the law was passed makes me laugh honestly all these women think they can get away with being ignorant children and destroying these babies lives now they cant the doctors test the umbilical cord as soon as they come out if it tests positive dhs gets involved immediately. @sarahemccormick

i live in colorado so they take drug testing here serious i get a cup handed to me as soon as i walk in the door and am asked to pee i have no problem doing it i think its great that they take it serious here considering weed is legal which this post has nothing to do with pot i have no issues with pot but i am by no means a smoker so i dont have an idea how it does or doesnt effect babies in the womb this is mainly about the serious drugs either way i dont think you should take smoke snort whatever anything that alters your mind while pregnant no telling what it does or doesnt do to the baby @hermommy

@oklahoma.girl55 well i get a cup handed to me but sadly they don't drug test I wish they would, here they just check for protein and all that😩😳 personally I don't care for Pot technically it's a plant😒 I don't smoke it only tried it once way before I got pregnant and hated it, but my point is even pot and things like that I believe if you can't stop for 9/10 months while you're pregnant don't get pregnant😳 I think it's great they test the umbilical cord 😊 they should've been doing that because like you said mommas think they can get away with it

thats my opinion as well ive tried it a few times in high school maybe 6 all together it wasnt like omg cool just one of those things you try as a kid not something i prefer to do daily. and i agree also if you cant stop dont get pregnant everyone wants to argue it does nothing to the baby but if that was the case doctors wouldnt make it a point in the state its legal in that it cannot be smoked through pregnancy period doctors wouldnt make a huge deal about it unless it was safe i dont think they know what it does thats why they dont say its fine to do it. @hermommy
