I don't get why everybody be so " pressed " to be induced .. Being induced should only happen if there is something wrong with the baby not because your getting tired of carrying the child .. The baby will come when their ready .. Let them cook , when your induced they drug the baby .. Read up on inducing before you make a decision like that .. No shade to anyone either I'm just sharing a little knowledge especially to some of you young new mommies .!
I mean, women have posted about the side effects of being induced early just because they want to, and the women. that read the post just ignore it and still want to be induced or try to cause labor.
That's true but let the doctor give them that option first .. && not tryna be rude but im not about to argue with you like I was simply stating my opinion & saying to do research .. I've had a child before being pregnant is nothing knew to me .. So I know what im talking about . But to each is own . @lunch nleighs_mommy
But 39 weeks is full term that's the difference it used to be that 37 weeks was considered full term but it's not anymore at 37 weeks they won't stop labor but it's not considered full term until 39 weeks if your trying to purposely induce labor before that cuz ur tired of the pain you should be doing your research first @lynleighs_mommy
I just feel like it's up to the doctors and their patients... I have a friend who was induced at 39 weeks because she was miserable and couldn't keep the baby out of her ribs and everything went smoothly. @hueysmommy12
No not since the March of dimes campaign They can't but there are mommy trying everything and anything cuz there just fed up and it's completely understandable but still feel like they should let things happen naturally until the doctor decides there is no other options @lynleighs_mommy
Thanks @krys that's my lucky baby lol 😍😍😍, unless you are having medical issues with the baby that should be the only reason to be induced @lynleighs_mommy
I don't think they allow you to do it by choice until 39 weeks anymore...at least that's the way it is in Arkansas. @krys
Lol what a great bday ! @hueysmommy12 and @lynleighs_mommy she was talking about inducing early lots of women are 34 and 35 weeks trying to induce labor because they are tired of being pregnant if the doctor chose to do it for medical reasons that's different I was induced twice at 37 weeks for medical reasons not because I felt like just getting them out !
You're gonna be first!!! So exciting! @krys @scarletts_mommy
Yeah I've been swimming & shopping lol that's about as much exercise I'll do .. & yeah I was supposed to be induced with my son but he ended up coming on his on at 39 weeks & 5 days .. He was born 12/12/12 @krys
they will give you pitocin even if you go into labor naturally if you aren't dialating fast enough. I believe it's a personal choice. if the doctors say it's okay by 39 weeks then some moms just want to be out of pain and that's thier choice. I'm waiting until my water breaks unless I go a few days over my due date. your amniotic fluid starts being a risk once you go over a week or two of your due date, then doctors recommend you get induced. there's also complications such as babies swallowing thier poop that increases after 40 weeks.
I go tomorrow too lol hope there is some change I've been stay really active lots of walking to get things moving naturally , im getting anxious but staying patient ! Yes I was in diced for my last 2 children but it was due to medical reasons my first to came on there own 1 at 37.5 wks the other at 41 wks I don't want to go over but being induced was defiantly worse anyway I hated it I went all natural for my first 2 but being induced I had to have an epidural the pitocin makes it 100 times more painful then it already is to begin with im praying I don't have to get induced again but so far so good
I forget when I dropped lol but yeah I haven't had to many contractions I go to the doctors tomorrow @krys && I feel like if people did their research on inducing & the harm it does they wouldn't be so gunho to do it .. Smh
Omg took the words right out of my mouth , I understand the end is hard and can be stressful but let these babies cook we went this far we can go the rest of the way , and my baby dropped at 32 weeks @hueysmommy12 so it will prob be you or me going first lol , I've been having lots of contractions since I did a crazy 4 hour cleaning last night
What do you mean by that ? @kelseys & yeah I've dropped lol @scarletts_mommy
I'm gonna cry if I have to be induced. I plan on telling my doctor that it's the last thing I want. You dropped?!?! You're gonna be first!! Me and @tracynangel are gonna be last haha.
so many women say the same thing on here for others to see and some just don't care because they are selfish. smh
I'm dropped so I'll probably deliver first lol @tracynangel
Yeah no I read a lot about that on here && I be so shocked like nooooooo you don't want to be induced at all && then there's some moms on here that be gassing them up & im like mind your business shae if you share knowledge they gonna think your a know it all even tho your not tryna be .. Yeah so I'm simply just addressing it in a general manner no shade no nothing @nykkytia
Yeah my baby has been head down for like 7 weeks, but hasn't dropped and I'm prob super tight!
@hueysmommy12, yup... we have our birth plan appointment tomorrow with our OB plus another ultrasound to check growth ;)
Yeah effacement is just when the baby is preparing themselves like my daughter is already in position her had has been down for like 3 or 4 weeks now but im not dilated yet at all & my cervix is super shut lol .. But I'll find out tomorrow if I'm dilated @tracynangel
see, I thought I was the only one who thought it was strange to want to be induced bc I thought it was emergency only to be honest. but the moms are so excited about it, so I've never spoken on it. lol.
Ohhhh yeah I was curious to see if anything was happening but she said no because dilation and effacement has nothing to do with when I'll go into labor!
Yup ; the nurses don't like checking down there unless they have to like if you come in for cramping or something like that : that's when they check .. @tracynangel
Yeah my midwife wouldn't do it even if I was 40 weeks because she didn't want me exposed to infections or bacteria. She said when I'm actually in labor the doctors in the hospital will check
Yeah you should only get check for dilation when you 37 weeks sometime they do it around 35 weeks but even then your still considered to be in the preterm labor bracket . @tracynangel
No it's not just your opinion my doctor says not to induce or even get checked down there for dilation!
Yes they use Pitocin to drug the baby .. @tracynangel everyone should aim to do natural with epidural even tho that messes up your back or just natural which is what I'm doing or c section but I wouldn't recommend it unless it's dyer need ..
Yes mine does too! Being induced is no fun! Isn't it harmful for the baby too?
Right it's not something that should be brought up right away like " oh I wanna be induced "; no no no sweetie that should only be a option if there is something medically wrong with baby . @katemeier
My birth plan says NO INDUCTION UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY; )
You know you have children when...
You get to work and notice that your pants have smudges of unidentifiable origin from the knee down. ?
How old?
How old were you when you lost your virginity?
when did you find out the sex of your baby?! I'm 13 weeks and am getting anxious to know !!
when your children turn 18
How old will you be?
Ohhhh okay I understand now @kelseys
