What have u mommies done to keep the MIL or SIL at bay with their constant "advice" for the baby. I've been dealing with a crazy SIL. At first she was extremely territorial and possessive over my husband and we had a really bad falling out. She's apologized since then and things have calmed down and she knows her boundaries now with my husband. But now she's constantly giving me "advice" for the baby. Like yesterday, her and my MIL were over and we were going through baby stuff and she started telling me how long I should co-sleep for, when to stop, etc. I'm on my 3rd baby and she's only had one, who is now 8. I'm trying so hard for my husbands sake to keep the peace and keep them involved, but I just can't handle anymore. I need a more productive way of handling this than just telling them to stop cuz I know what I'm doing.

I feel ya! my MIL and even FIL (lol) try to give us SO much advice already and then get all pissed when we say thank you we will learn what's best for us. thankfully my husband stands up for baby add I and our family 24/7.inlaws can be THE WORST sometimes! :(

@rachh40, I'm very lucky that way too. My husband is very supportive of me so I have no worries when he needs to stand up for me. His family didn't realize that till the fight I got into with his sister and they learned real quick!!! lol they were not expecting that.

exactly what happened with us and his family too. they just assumed oh he's gonna tell her to screw off, haha that wasn't the case.
it would just be so much easier to ignore them but we know that doesn't make a damn thing easier unfortunately!
couldn't imagine having a husband who didn't stick up for me and our family. we are very lucky in that way :)

@hamman13, I've already flipped on them because they weren't getting what boundaries were. They've apologized since, but his sister got really bad. She would pretend I didn't exist and tell my husband to go over there, tag me in stuff to show her brother cuz he doesn't have fb, put pity parties on fb about missing him cuz she never sees him anymore (even though we live down the road from her) and then she tried to change his mind on our birth plan behind my back cuz she was mad we were calling anybody till baby was born and we were well rested. It was just getting out of hand.

@hamman13, tell me bout it lol @crazytoast that's pretty much what I've been doing, I'm just going insane with it now and I've been trying so hard not to laugh at her cuz I'm like seriously? This is my third baby and my other kids sleep in their own room, never ask to sleep with me, and u think I'm going to have a problem with the baby wanting to sleep in my bed till she's 8 like ur daughter? She sleeps with u guy cuz u guys let her watch scary movies all the time and she doesn't want to sleep by herself!
