Breastfeeding mamas I need some advice! I has diagnosed with mastitis and given an antibiotic that's safe for breastfeeding. But now my LO fusses when nursing at the affected breast and nurses calmly on the other. I always try to start the nursing session on the affected breast but that doesn't seem to be helping. Anyone had this problem before?

Thank you. I'll definitely try that. I think that could be it I've read that it can make the milk salty.

the milk from that breast may taste funny from the infection. try to be persistent about nursing on that side, it helps get rid of mastitis, but if he absolutely refuses nurse on the other side and pump the infected side.
