My daughter's Dr prescribed her Omeprozole for her reflux. He says it is safe, but I'm having second thoughts about it. What should I do?
Oh wow. I'm sorry to hear that. Natalie takes 5 1/2 she was taking 6 for a awhile but the Dr. told me to cut back the ounces just to see if it would help but it hasn't.
Elliot just now barely weighs 12lbs he was little when he was born 5lbs 9oz but the reflux has definitely not helped him. He just started eating 5 oz at every feeding @bamagirl7
Yeah just the Zantac didn't help my son either, his dr recently added the reglan which is supposed to help keep that valve closed. He has some days where I feel like the medicine isn't even working. If you don't mind me asking, how much does your daughter weigh? My sons reflux has affected his weight gain.@bamagirl7 and is she bottle fed? Sorry for so many questions I'm just curious, I don't usually find any moms on here who's babies have reflux
@vb95, Im on that medicine for my gastritis and I've never heard of them prescribing it to babies. She was on Zantac but that didn't even help at all. She's gaining weight but she has really bad reflux.
My son is on reglan, and Zantac for reflux, I've never heard of the one they prescribed your daughter though. Has she had trouble with weight gain?
Yeah, Elliot was eating 4 for a while but he would always get hungry 2 hrs later and his tummy would still be full, so he would spit up quite a bit. So we increased him to 5 and he usually goes 4 hrs between feedings now and usually his stomach is almost completely empty so he doesn't spit up too much @bamagirl7
