Hey ladies . I'm kinda having a down moment :/ . I'm really upset about my weight. I mean I hated my weight before I was pregnant due to being overweight. Now I terrified to gain more. I'm 24 weeks today and have gained 4 pounds. My doctor says that is a fantastic amount to weigh. But I feel otherwise. My Melody is healthy and weighs a little over 1 pound now.
I gained weight due to medications I have been on since I was little to take care of other problems. The depo shot made me gain the most around age 15 when I began having ovary issues. Then the anti depressants I have been on since I was young didn't help with weight gain either. I'm not making excuses for me being over weight.... It is just hard when you were trying everything to lose before then just gaining it back.
Doctor tells me no excessive right now besides short term walking. Im diabetic type 2 . Have been since I was young so naturally I have always watched my intake of food and what not.
What do I do :/ . I'm really depressed about this....
@lovemiithree, obviously weight gain comes with pregnancy. That I knew. Just having a hard time coping with it is all. I didn't like my weight prior. I was told I couldn't get pregnant by doctors due to having 1 ovary that was presumed dead. I am thrilled I am pregnant. And I know everything that can and will come with it. Just gets me down. @0816mommy and @harranmommy I do plan on breast feeding. I am very adamant on that choice.
Do you plan on breastfeeding? You will drop weight very fast if you do. Don't stress about gaining weight while your pregnant, your supposed to!
not to be rude but did you not think being pregnant you would not gain weight ?
honey, you sound fine. that 4 pounds is just from the baby. you'll drop it after giving birth. maybe try breast feeding also when the baby is born.
@lexximarie, do short 15 minute walks then.... Several a day. And maybe ask why she wants you to back off?? And believe that your husband loves you no matter what.... It's hard. I'm in your position too...
Baby I'm over weight too I'm 31 weeks almost 32 I've gained 8 lbs it's hard went they don't want u doing alot plus remember u have an bigger uterus and placenta all that weight adds up to now at least that's what they keep telling me I gained 5 lbs in 2 weeks plus ur body is making more blood & swelling bc of the heat too so 4 lbs could b all the extra fluids in ur body
@dcb012, I'll call and ask my doctor tomorrow about yoga. I seen her today and she told me no more excersize. I was limited to solely walking before. I told her I could walk for hours and had been and today she told me 15 minutes from now on. She doesn't see anything wrong with the baby . So I'm not sure why I've been so restricted :/ . @j8paqu that lizard made me and my hubby laugh. And I know 4 pounds is great. I'm trying to see the bright side. Like most woman gain 15 pounds by this point apparently. But it's not so much reassuring yah know? Especially when you have another set of doctors telling you that you need to lose weight because you are over weight (the knees controlling my diabetes while I'm pregnant. ) it's just hard sometimes :/
Can you do yoga?? May help mentally. Other than that..... You just gotta push through momma and know you are giving a life to a blessing.... I feel your pain and understand the struggle but our babies need us and calories..... I would do maybe several short walks a day, some yoga, and light work outs such as leg lifts, squats, hip flexor work outs, east stuff.... And eat healthy
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

Just think about it your gaining wait for a good cause and it's only temporary. perhaps you can look up exercises or yoga for pregnant women that may help at least mentally but don't worry to much you can always lose wait after the birth of your little one.... congratulations in your bundle of joy
