Try looking up remedies. I've heard of putting vinegar in a bowl and letting it sit for a day. Should soak all the odor up.

we literally got our swifter && tons on cleaning products && spell good and scrubbed our walls && carpets , && it worked , smelt like clorox and stuff for a few days but we tuffed it out

I soaked everything in febreeze for like a week with the windows open (now my room has 3 full walls of windows) and the smell was gone and never returned.

dont use ammonia, that's the worst thing you could do... use either febreeze, or a swiffer with a really good smelling deodorizer have your windows open and clean the hell out of the walls, floor, doors, and clean the window and window seal really good! (:

baking soda ! soaks up odors that's why ppl put opened boxes in their fridge. Works like a charm! my parents used to smoke in their old house so I know it's a pain.
