Alright ladies...every child I have had I have tried to breastfeed but I never get enough milk and it's gone before I can really try to do anything about it. Can anyone please help me figure out a way to get my milk and keep it?? I really want to breastfeed but I am never successful and the hospital never can seem to help me out...
@lovelycin09, how much of the supplement do you have to take? @jnh199243 I would start with the food but you're not supposed to take the fenugreek during pregnancy. You can find lots of lactation recipes on Pinterest also. Lots of water and a healthy diet.
I never have a problem getting my children to latch it's just like my body don't know how to produce milk or maybe I'm not getting enough of something to produce enough to prevent it from dryin up
putting baby to breast as often as possible, having a good latch is key. drink lots of water stay hydrated. lactation cookies work also along with some other foods/vitamins.
where would I be able to get some and do I start using it before or after baby?/@bianca_rose
It's an herb that is really good for milk supply, you can either buy the herb and make a tea yourself or I'm told they sell it already in teas
I love cookies. I could find a recipe and take those to the hospital with me when I deliver
Delicious cookies that help with milk supply. You can buy them at babies r us premade or you can google recipes to make them at home. Your friend was probably taking about Mother's Tea. I'm not a big fan because of the taste but that can help with supply as well.
your made lactation cookies? what is that? never really heard of that? I know someone once said the were drinking a tea from Walmart and I wanted to try it but I forgot what it's called
I'm not sure how it works while still pregnant. I know it's not good to try pumping or hand expression before delivery because nipple stimulation could cause pre term labor, but they're all pretty healthy so I don't see why you couldn't incorporate them into your diet now. I e had lots of luck drinking cool blue Gatorade (not sure why that one specifically) and I've made homemade lactation cookies with Brewers yeast and flaxseed and I feel like those are great for milk production. Ask your OB Doctor before you change your diet just to make sure it's ok.
are these things I need to start putting into my diet now to help it come in? @kimberlyyyy
Target you can find them or online and you only have to take 2 a day @jnh199243 @tristan-makes-5
