I recently had a miscarriage 6 weeks ago. The doc recommended that I get blood work weekly to monitor my hCG hormone levels. I found out today that my levels have actually risen by 15, so now from 1.96, I am now at 2.11.... Has anyone else had this happen to them, and what was the reason for the elevation? I'm really concerned. I don't want to have a D&C and I am not emotionally ready to be pregnant again. TBH, I'm quite terrified to be pregnant again.
@mkohl83, i will know what's going on tomorrow or this coming up Tuesday
Did they do any sort of ultrasound or exam to make sure ?
That happened to me, but it ended up being ectopic. They think I was having twins, miscarried one, and then had an ectopic with the other.
hmm I haven't heard of negative numbers in testing for hcg quantity but hey, if that's what your midwife wants then so be it!
@mygiftof2016, omg 😲 that is crazy! but god bless her.
I have heard of it. same thing happened to my sister she miscarried but there was a twin that survived so she ended up having a beautiful baby girl
All I know is for certain, is my midwife wants the number to be at -2.
hmm as in a level of 2.1 hcg? If so, we all have a natural level of hcg running through our system. Anything less than five hcg is not pregnant
Hopefully it will be good news . A miscarriage is a life altering thing. My thoughts will be with you
