Is it okay to give my son a pacifier even though I'm breast feeding?

I waited until after 6 weeks so there was no possibility of nipple confusion or messing with my milk supply.

The hospital told me to wait at least 4 weeks but 2 weeks in she wanted to suck for comfort and it started hurting so I introduced a paci to my daughter and luckily she took it but she still nurses just fine and she even takes a bottle and goes back to the breast just fine. Every baby is different though. (:

I gave my son his paci the day he was born and strictly breastfed for 10months no formula . he was fine never affected him wanting to breastfeed

@jessie1394, yeah they told me the same but I just wanna use it for when he gets his blood taken he has jaundice so yeah

Then do it! (: My daughter loves her paci when we have to go to the doctors. It's really up to you if you want to give him one. It calms my daughter down when we have to wait for the doctor. I plan to give it to her when she gets her shots too which is coming up soon 😫

i have my daughter one at 2 days old. she just turned 1 last month and still breastfeeds with out ever having any problems.

I gave my baby boy the Paci and breastfed as well no formula and it did not affect my milk supply but all babies are diffrent my oldest never liked any pacifiers

@chica1320, I pumped my milk the other day and gave it to him and he didn't want the bottle at all then he started sucking on my shirt

@ethansmommy2016 I didn't give him a bottle again all babies are diffrent my girls never like the Paci either my baby girl preferred her foot lol
