thoughts on this? I was thinking about getting it encapsulated
@jacesterlingsmommy, ohh, its because your profile says Illinois, so I thought you might've been close
@jessie433, it's something you need to ask you doctor and hospital. If they allow it but that the placenta also has to be in good condition to use.
@kelseys, I live by st. Louis Missouri, not sure where you live but I'm pretty sure you have to take it to them. My hospital I'm delivering at will let me take the placenta home, store in the freezer then transport it to their location.
I've been looking into it too. I've never done it before but I'll probably try this time. If I can afford it. I'm doing the cord blood banking too so Idk how much $ my husband will be willing to give me lol
@jacesterlingsmommy, really where? I was reading online and it says most of the time its from $200-$400 but that's so much!
I'm going to get mine capsuled!! 3 of my friends have done it who had all had kids before and they said they noticed that it made a difference in recovering and emotions!
I'm thinking of getting it encapsulated as well but I can't find anywhere that will do it for less than $250!
I'd like to get it done myself. Some will say there's not enough research or that it's just hippie crap. That's fine its not for everyone. I found a place by my house that will do it for $175.
No, I live right across the river from STL. @kelseys I didn't even realize what state you were from. lol.
