Did you/would you get your son circumcised after birth?? Why or why not?
We're having a boy and he will be getting circumcised. I let my husband make the decision because 1) he has a penis 2) its uncircumcised. He thinks it's what best for our son.
I heard the only good part about not getting it is the sex
Oh yeah!! they can get super bad infections if it's not cleaned well everyday.
You would need to teach your son/daughter how to clean themselves regardless 😕 and sometimes circumcising is the CAUSE of problems. They could do it wrong even at birth and have problems the rest of their lives. My ex has had pain in his penis his entire life, because they circumcised him wrong. He literally just lives with it and is too embarrassed to tell anyone because he doesn't want to have them mess it up more. Unless it is medically necessary to do that, like way too much foreskin or he can't pee etc... I just can't being myself to do it.
yes!!!! you have to teach him to clean it. it doesn't shape up till he's 5 years old. I will be snipping my son
I did a lot of research as well, and I have decided not to circumcise my son.
Both of my son's are and my twin boys will be. I work in childcare and have seen both sides. It is best to do it at birth because one it's so much cleaner and two there are so many complications that can happen from having it done at a later time. There is a 2yo in the class next to mine and he got his done a couple months ago and is constantly grabbing at it and saying it hurts. Never had problems prior. It was never a question for me I think having it at birth best cause they won't remember it and are two little to reach down and fiddle with it and get it infected.
I have had a shit ton of UTI's in my life, even as an infant, and still now as an adult (because I have a small and tilted urethra) but given the chance to remove a part of my body to prevent that, I still would not do it! I would do more research about it before you make your decision. It does NOT cause more infection by being uncircumcised and you DONT have to clean it any special way. First they started this for religion, and then for science and cleanliness... but people mainly in America are so misinformed about it that everybody does it because that's the "normal" thing to do. In Europe it is actually weird to be circumcised, but here it is weird not to be.
I did a lot of research and choose not to have him circumcised. his father never asked so he doesn't even know. theres a small chance they can die from it and it's a lot of care after the cirslcumcision when its actually no big deal left intact. we don't have to clean it for years and then I just show him how to clean it, which is very simple and the infections are actually rare. I don't think it should be done and believe it hinders men sexually, both physically and emotionally. it was never started as a healthcare procedure, it was to make men stop masterbating
Thank you ladies. A part of me wants to but at the same time no because I'm scared that they wont do the procedure right or if something bad happens. :(
I am not going to. After lots of research and lots of thinking about it, I have come to the conclusion that it is not medically necessary and could be potentially harmful. My baby's father is circumcised, but he isn't gonna be the one taking care of my son or explaining anything to him, that will be up to me. My best friend is not circumcised and we had a long talk about any questions I had. I just find it so wrong and most people in America are misinformed about how "necessary" it is, because it really isn't. I just can't do it. If my son REALLY wants to get circumcised at any point in his life, it is still possible and he can make that decision. But I am not going to make that decision myself. Also it goes wrong a lot of the time and then people have to get multiple surgeries to FIX it, when it was unnecessary to begin with 😕 if it becomes necessary for whatever reason, then I will do that. But it is unnecessary. His penis knows how to clean itself just like our vaginas know how to. There is also a procedure where we could cut of a part of our genitalia, that takes away some pleasure and also the chance of getting a UTI, but for women that is referred to as genital mutilation 😕 I just don't see it as necessary, at all. Just a personal opinion though.
I am! My brother had insecurities because he's not and there's always risks for infections for not cleaning properly!
I am. My oldest son was done after birth.
I am definitely doing it cause I'm worried that if it doesn't get properly cleaned he could get infections so I feel it's the right choice in my opinion to get him circumcised
I am also. It was mostly up to my SO since he has a penis and knows what it's like and I dont. Best advice is just do research on your own and don't let others feelings impact your decision just because "it's the norm".
if and when I have a boy he will be circumcised. My fiance is circumcised and I want him to look the same as his daddy. I understand that it's not medically necessary by no means, but it will be MY son. and him not feeling insecure because he looks different then his dad means more to me when he won't even remember the pain from the procedure.
I did. but my husband is not. he supported my decision though the rest o his family had their opinions regarding it.
Aliens?
Do you believe aliens exist? Why or why not?

do you ever wonder
Why men choose to become obgyns?
Why do you not trust Daycare’s??
I find it pretty hilarious how people who have shown their true colors on social media snake away, delete the posts that outed them and come back on social media like nothing happened. Why do that, you outed yourself, so stay out. We still see you boo boo...
I'm choosing to not have my son circumcised. Because 1. Not medically necessary(I mean heck most insurances consider it cosmetic now) 2. My fiancé isn't and will be the one potty training and teaching hygiene. 3. I don't like the idea of welcoming my son into the world and then 24 hrs later *snip* let me just cut off a piece of your body to prevent an infection that probably won't even happen.
