are there any mom who exclusively pump? that is my plan this pregnancy. i had alot of problems with my son and latching on that i just want to pump this time. would anyone have any advice/ do's and don't
I will be trying to pump exclusively with this new baby. My friend did it, it takes a lot of dedication with the pump. It's basically like having an electronic or hand pump baby lol. You'll have to do it often especially if you do not want to supplement with formula
I have been pumping for 5 months almost. Not exclusively technically because I supplement with formula when my son needs it. I couldn't get him to latch and he didn't like nursing with the shield so I pump starting around 6am and I pump every 3 hours. I stop about 11pm and sleep through the night since my son does but I use to wake up at least once a night to pump. Make sure you're consistent and that you drink lots of water!
I pump only a couple of time I breast feed like in the hospital and some nights when I was to lazy but majority it's pumping
my son was early so we couldn't get him to latch on once he was able to actaully try breastfeeding and my body wouldn't really produce much milk which was also hard for my son and I, but this time I really want to pump and give my daughter as much breast milk as possible and make it easy for me, my husband and our baby.
@mariamae77, since I've already had problems feeding my son I have already figured I might have to supplement with formula but I still want to try as hard as possible to pump
