Well first of all, ultrasound estimations of size can be up 2 lbs off, and are known to be innacurrate. Do you have any other complications such as gestational diabetes or high blood pressure

It depends on if the baby is breached too. I got induced because I was a week past my due date and wasn't dilating on my own and they estimated him to be over 8lbs but that's not why I was induced. He ended up coming out at 8'6

I've been having high blood pressure nothing server but the doctor has been having me do the non stress tests every week. I'm a ftm so I don't really know much haha

They broke my water at 39 weeks thinking my baby was going to be 9lbs by my due date....at 39 weeks she was born weighing 10lb 2oz. Hopefully they will let you go early if they already think the baby is big!! ☺️

he feels huge! @heidi126 his butt is all up in my ribs and when I push down on his butt I can feel his head putting pressure in my crotch! and I have a longer torso... I just feel like he's way too big 😂

Lol they are expecting me to have a 7lb babe and she is all up in things too, babies are good at that! If your blood pressure starts going up they may induce, size alone shouldn't be a reason to induce, but sometimes doctors push C sections of they think baby is bigger. I had GD with my first, and they had said if baby looks like she will be over 9 we should consider a c section. She wasn't measuring that big, so we stayed vaginal and she was born at 9lbs 11oz with no size related complications.
