I'm seriously not understanding why my nipples are still so sensitive? I have been ebf-ing for 3 months. My right nipple is ripped and it hurts so bad. I wanted to be able to breast feed Kendra for a year, but now I don't know if I can. She's also refusing any type of bottle with breast milk and screams. Praying I can find a bottle she likes while I heal up

I drank it during my pregnancy too, I went from 4cm to 10cm in less than an hour during labor!!! I swear by the stuff LOL

It is good. I drank it during my pregnancy and will be drinking it again to help my uterus shrink back down. I heard it does help with cramps with AF @hellosweetie

At first it seemed better, this last one I had bad cramps again like I used to get, it sucked soooo bad....drinking raspberry leaf tea helps though, I drank a bunch and the next day I didn't have any cramps but it was super heavy! I swear by it, it's like a tonic for the uterus 😉 I get the Traditional Medicinals Raspberry Leaf Tea off of amazon, great stuff 😁

It's the first time I've tried breastfeeding for a long time. She's my third and last child so it's all new to me. I do have to say it has been nice to not have AF for a couple months. I can say I don't miss the cramping and horrible heavy flow of her every month lol. Fingers crossed I don't jinx myself and she decides to make her appearance anytime soon. Is yours at least shorter from breastfeeding or still the same as before? @hellosweetie

Will do. I've been wondering in AF will show up or if I won't have one till I stop breastfeeding. @hellosweetie

Girl I hope you figure it out! Keep an eye out for aunt flow cuz it may come without warning and be completely random, mine came around 2.5 months pp, 5 months pp, and 7 months pp....breastfeeding can make it irregular or not show up at all, but then again some women start up again right away! Ya never know what will happen unfortunately lol you got this mama!!! Keep me updated!

Thanks hun. I was all depressed and cried because I didn't want to stop breastfeeding her. I like the bond we have with each other and how she feels comforted by me when shes all fussy. I haven't had AF since the bleeding stopped after giving birth. I'll try some coconut oil on it and let it air out to see if that helps. I keep having her latch on it when my breast starts to feel engorged on that side. It feels like I'm getting my nipple pierced repeatedly since I haven't healed on my right side. I'll keep checking her latch. It's crazy how it happened out of nowhere. I'll also look into getting the blessed thistle @hellosweetie

Have you tried tommee tippee bottles they're supposed to be the closest ones to a woman's nipple. And coconut oil or nipple cream should help the rips, tears, or gagging you might get on your nipples if you haven't tried that yet it's worth a shot

Are you about to start or on your period right now? During that time your nipples become a lot more sensitive due to hormones, mine always hurt really bad during that time and I can get blisters and stuff....mind you I've only had three in the 7.5 months since having my daughter lol...I know it's tough, my girl never once took a bottle or accepted a pacifier, so I never got a break from the pain...my girl had a tongue and lip tie that took 2 months to stretch, I felt pain EVERY feed and my poor nipples were so hurt because they would try to heal then she'd be hungry again....as soon as you fix the problem, they heal quite well even with baby constantly nursing, just remember that! Also expressing a little after a feed and rubbing it into the nipple helps them heal faster, you could also combine by letting the breast milk dry and then adding a layer of lanolin or coconut oil over that to keep them hydrated and protected. Make sure if you have breast pads that they are soft, fabric rubbing will make them hurt more....and lastly, find out the problem and fix it so you can start the healing process! If it's your lady days, not much you can do other than wait it out, it will get better and if you quit now you'll regret it! I almost quit so many times....she could also be getting a bit rough because she's impatient, sometimes my supply will take a small dip before or during my period and she will get frustrated and suck aggressively lol for a quick fix to help you heal, try drinking Mother's Milk tea or Milkmaid tea, eating oatmeal, drinking non-alcoholic beer (for the yeast), taking fenugreek and blessed thistle (they work best in combination, I've found them in capsules on amazon), and also you could use hand expression or pumping between feedings (or even one side during feedings) to help boost that supply up. I find that my girl is a lot gentler when my supply is abundant rather than just enough for her lol last but not least, check her latch. Sometimes they honestly forget how to latch consistently the same each time, or they have a "lazy" latch. Make sure a good amount of areola is in the mouth, a little more on the bottom of her mouth than the top in most cases, also her chin should be touching and pressed in a bit into your breast, and nose up and away from the breast. Her lips should be flared out, bot sucked in and if her lips look whiter or blistered when unlatching then they've been sucking on them, and you need to pull those lips out when she's latched so she eventually remembers to keep them out while nursing lol I would suggest getting her checked for tongue tie but it sounds as though you didn't have problems til now and tongue tie would have caused trouble from the begining....just try and stay patient, examine the latch to see what's wrong, and it will get better!!! I am proud to say my girl has been exclusively breastfed all her life, and despite all our troubles we are 7.5 months strong and still going!!!
