My sister told me she knows 4 women whose infants died from SIDS because they were all formula fed.
Knowing that i plan to formula feed..
She breast feeds.
So fucking pissed off at her. Who would say that to a pregnant person?! Let alone a first time mom. What a bitch!

i hope i dont fail at bf .... i really don't want to use formula. ... but i never heard that formula causes sids

I lost a son to SIDS in 2008 he was 3 months 10 days old. I breastfeed him. She want to talk to someone who lost a child to SIDS she needs to get into contact with me. Lies like that PISS me off. SIDS can happen to anyone no matter how careful you..she need to get her facts straight before she starts talking. She is lucky she didn't say that to be I would of ended up in jail.
Some moms who are die hard breastfeeders/ "crunchy" moms are so over the top with trying to persuade other moms to do the same thing as them, don't worry or stress yourself out! I have a girl I know who constantly is sending me anti-circ articles and videos of babies being cut without my permission. My husband is very very religious and for those reasons we are making the choices we are, but she won't respect that! You're doing the right thing because only you know what's best for your little one! Ignore her and stick to your instincts! At the end of the day, everyone is going to have something to say about the way you parent so try not to listen
That's not right. I'm not breastfeeding for medical reasons. No one has told me that the baby could get sids from formula. She's just pushing breastfeeding on you. It's your choice. I doubt those women's baby's died from sids for that reason! A lot of women formula feed for whatever reasons. Sometimes the baby doesn't take to the breast, what are you suppose to starve it when that happens?! That makes me mad her saying that
@jessicaaa08, I hear ya! My daughter has been formula fed since day one. I never even tried to breast feed (which pisses people off SO BAD that I didn't even try.) My daughter is 100 percentile in EVERYTHING (has always been), she's only 8mo old and is 29lbs and starting to walk. She's ahead of the game in everything and perfectly healthy. Also, I lost all 60lbs I gained during pregnancy without breastfeeding, so, I tend to shut people down when they start to tell me how bad formula is. 🙄 ugh! People..I swear!
People say crazy things..... I tried to breast feed with my son I didn't produce anything when he was born he was bottle feed and he is now 7 with that being said I am going to formula feed this baby !!

@jennatess, i know!! Just because im not doing what she's doing, theres no reason to make me feel bad about it! I know plenty of healthy formula fed babies... Not to mention, for her to know THAT MANY women who has had that happen to is pretty crazy. (Sorry, venting) lol
I hateee when people try to push breast feeding OR formula feeding on people. It's so annoying, and uncalled for.
I used formula for my daughter and she is 2... she is as healthy and smart as can be. Don't listen to her.
