I've come to the decision that as long as I don't seriously need it, I'm not getting the epidural.
me personally...Idk what I would have done without it!! I do agree I had some back soreness where I had the epidural but it went away. I felt every contraction as I was in labor for 26 hours. my baby was never once stressed. worst part was my one side was so numb I couldn't roll onto that side or even feel muly toes! lol
@suez, exactly I'm not going to down anyone for getting it and who knows if I have to I'll get it but I'm going to try to go without
Yeah heard all the bad stuff that's why I don't want it but obviously I not 100% against its just if I don't need it I don't want it, I wanna give it my all before I give in
@suez, me either plus it can put a lot of stress on the baby because you might have bad contractions and not feel them and it stresses baby out
Agreed! Heard about everyone's back pain. And I don't want that
@junesmommy15, my sister did and now she has terrible back problems and it slowed her labor down
Stop looking at it. It's different for everyone. Think about how many women has gone through with it.
@junesmommy15, this documentary is terrifying me.
I was too. It helped tremendously however. Don't let anyone scare you out of wanting an epidural. I would have never thought I would get one and I don't take meds besides birth control mini pill.
And if you feel like you do need it don't feel bad for wanting it. I felt so bad and my doctor told me not to feel bad because I did great without it. I got it and hour before I was a full 10 cm dilated
@chewy1228, well I hope if I do get it I have it easy too lol
