How long did it take for your baby's cord stump to fall off? Just curious. My sons is hanging by a thread at 8 days. (I'm obviously going to let it continue to fall off on its own)

@nicolemarie5496, I wasn't planning on it. I wouldn't want to put that on my baby. My midwife says it doesn't help anything really. And It just fell off completely a couple minutes ago. :)
do not use alcohol the body knows what to do let it fall off on its own
@nikkimolano1, we delayed cord clamping so there wasn't any blood left in the cord to bank.

My daughters fell off in 8 days and her doc said to use rubbing alcohol to help dry it out
Oh okay then I'm sure it'll come off soon my Dr adamantly told me to use alcohol but letting it come off more natural is what I should've done too.. I hate putting chemicals on my baby:/
They told me not to use anything with both my boys. To just let it do its think omits own. Just water when it's bath time. @maceysmommy

Macey's fell off at 10 days, just keep using the alcohol and make sure it's deep in there with a qtip where it is still liquidy
