What are your thoughts on encapsulating your placenta and taking it after birth?? Had anyone ever done it? My doula friend swears by it!

I've thought about it but not really sold on it. Plus it's just one more thing I'd have to do after birth. I just want to sit home and cuddle with baby ☺️
I know some people are really for it some are really against it personally I know I would gag because I knew what it was but hey if you want to then good on ya but it just gives me the shakes lol!!!

I agree with @tater4414 . The point of the placenta is to keep toxins out of baby's system. My non scientific opinion is that you'd be harming yourself more than doing any good.

I know people who do it but I never could partly because if it comes out of you it shouldn't go back in you lol

@Jen idoll, that's exactly where I am at! Plus it can get pretty expensive! The benefits are definitely intriguing but the reality of it disgusts me a bit too much to actually do it I think.
