no. not me. regardless I still get 12 weeks off, paid short term disability. my company pays two weeks and I use my PTO. yes I would like to have more time and paid time off, but our country is so far in debt that our companies couldn't afford to pay everyone maternity leave. so many people in America use welfare who may not need it. or who can work. I know lots of mothers who say their using the system, as well as their men. I perfer to not use welfare and work my ass off to support my family. Sanders in office will cause everyone to pay more taxes and so many companies go out of business as well as so many families living in the streets because we won't be able to afford our homes and bills. we won't be able to afford food. our country has to fix the debt before we can build up from it. can't keep taking from an empty pot. our country is in trillions of dollars of debt. why keep raising it? before long we're not gonna have a country. shit, we already got puton flying his jets over our Navy and our men our told to stand down. That shows our country is weak, and we're not. we got the wrong people running our country. we need a Republican in office. somebody who's gonna be a man and slap their dick on the table and get the job done.
I love in California and we can take 4 weeks off pior to the due date then 6- 8 wks from when the baby is born depending on weather it's a c section or vaginal birth and we can collect state disability for while were gone and it is 60 percent of your annual income. there is also family paid leave that can be taken anytime within the babies first year. next year san Francisco will have paid leave for both mother and father at 100 percent of there salery.
@ftmommieoftwiinz, really? that's awesome. I wish my company did that. with my first born I saved up 6weeks of PTO. I used that for my leave. my company now pays two weeks of my salary. then they cover short term disability, and I use my PTO time. we get a total of 12 weeks off. that's very nice to me. plus I work from home already. So it makes it that much easier on me. I can come back anytime I need to.
@lovelybritt, damn that's really good. I didn't even know that. I wonder what all we have in Texas. maybe there's something we can use but aren't being told.
that cool. yes a lot of ppl are shocked I'm like doesn't every company offer at least 6 weeks..if not they should..we get 16 weeks paid maternity..fathers get 3weeks..10 sick days 2 personal days..10 vacation days unless you buy an extra week like I did to make 15..and then if you work a holiday you get a bonus (comp) day..
