Urine test today showed positive to ketones. Doctor said that my

Body is starving itself, but I done a quick google check and found it can be a sign of diabetes... Anyone have any experience at all? Also currently battling a kidney infection which I have to monitor overnight and if it doesn't get better get admitted for IV antibiotics. And back to the doctor next week for an ultrasound to see what's going on.
