Question: Around what age did you start feeding your baby? What are some do's & don'ts? My pediatrician says to wait till 6months?!?!?

My doctor said six but the book I was reading bout how baby's grow said 4 months so I started at 4.5 months. My son was ready he was breastfed and now he drinks formula and eats a lot of veggies and fruits. :) I'm hoping by he hit 9 months next month he'll have every veggie , fruit , I give him. And going to start him on chicken and turkey ;) 😊
I waited 6 months like the doc said...but I honestly think I should've around 4 months...when I have this baby I'm going to at 4 months ,baby foods of course
4 months with baby food and 6 months with adult food he had a lot of teeth. he was also breastfed
That is what is best, before 6 months their digestive tract is not fully developed and absorbs foods much quicker, and they can have tummy issues and food allergies if they are fed anything but breast milk or formula before their bellies are ready. It's nice that your doctor actually agrees with this, many doctors are still old fashioned and will suggest 4 months even though current studies indicate that is far too young to introduce anything other than their milk!
we waited til 6 months to really feed our son. but at about 3-4 months we would give him tastes of food (mashed up) or let him suckle on fruit. mommy instinct are best. you'll know best:)

So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

Thank you everyone! My little one is 4.5 months old and today we fed her Happy Baby Organic Mango purée. I'll be taking it slow! I've read books that say 4months. I guess it really just depends on how i feel and if my baby is ready. She did well with eating mango today! But the paranoia was high due to the whole allergy thing lol I think I'll relax and wait to try a couple of other fruits and veggies a little later!
