Ok, so Saturday I started having contractions, really painful contractions. Went to L&D and was put on the monitor.... Was contracting every 4 min but cervix had no change. They thought maybe some sleep and fluids would stop the contractions so they gave me a shot of Demorol and Visril to knock me out and started an IV and ran a litre of fluids! Released me Sunday morning after I slept for 2 hrs. Still contracting and it's killing me... by the time my cervix dilates my body is gonna be to exhausted to push him out! Never has this happened to me before, can anyone give me some pointers as to how to get my cervix to dialate?

Girl I'm not positive but do something to help it along. When I got to the hospital I have was dilated to a 5 to be induced and everyone including my doctor thought things would go smoothly. 36 hours later I was finally fully dilated and my water had been artificially broken for 26 hours. Just walk walk walk.

walking helps i had contractions with my baby girl from 12 pm wednesday until i had her 11:37 pm on thursday I went to the hospital twice but i wasnt dilated enough until the third time i went in at 8 am thursday morning and i was 3 cm they told me to walk around for 2 hours and to eat something light (even though i threw it up) so my husband and i went out side and walked from vending machines to this door (50 ft) back and forth in between the contractions and i got to 4.8 cm and was admitted to the hospital so yeah walking should help you but its gonna be painful so don't walk by yourself
