Mommies today I discovered that the best way to help your baby poop, constipation, is giving them tea of rosa gallica. It's healthy and natural.
My baby was almost 3 days without pooping, all I do is breastfeed, and today my grandmother told me about this tea. So I give it to my 2 month old and she popped all over her, but she pooped. 😊
I'm not arguing, you do what you think is best, I just see a lot of mamas here who think they HAVE to listen to their parents or in laws on things that are far outdated and often dangerous, and I wanted to encourage you to make your own decisions based on facts rather than wive's tales and old knowledge. If it works for you and your doctor said it's fine, by all means do what you feel is best 😊 I am just here to share my knowledge on the subject, breastfed babies digest their milk very efficiently and it is a fact that they do not need to poop every day, as long as it doesn't come out hard when they DO poop, and it is VERY rare for a strictly breastfed baby to become constipated.
@hellosweetie, my grandma is always right because she raised 8 kids on her own with no ones help, not even her moms help. My grandma is my mom so I will always believe my grandma because she always knows what is best for her kids... She is not pushy what so ever. And I believe that babies should be pooping everyday because then that can lead to constipation. I will not risk it. I got the go ahead from her pediatrician. And to be honest, I only know the basics of taking care of my child.... So I will take ALL of the advice I can her from only her 😊 I know I'm the mom so I will do as what I think fits best, which is my grandmas advice 🙂
I agree with @meagansimone, it is perfectly normal for breastfed babies to not poop for several days, and herbal remedies can be dangerous in babies because you don't know if they can become allergic to something and their digestive tract at that age is only designed to be able to handle breast milk...I understand your mother is the kind that is pushy and "always right" though, so I don't blame ya for letting her do it just to get her to stop throwing a fit LOL just remember, YOU are the mom, NOT her. You have every right to explain to her that you know what you're doing and that your say is the final say on the matter. You don't HAVE to give in, mama!
@Liz 5511, I had to say yes because it was not medication. If I would of gone to my her pediatrician he would of haven me medication and I do not want my 2 month old taking medication for something that can be solved with something more organic/natural ☺️
@elaisa, yes!!! My mother in law told me about it when my son was little and extremely consitpated to the point he was miserable for almost 2 weeks!!! I consulted with his pediatritian and they gave me the ok because its all natural. Some may have different opinions but my suegra swore by it so i thought id try and boy did it work!!! Also, home made applesauce (for when theyre a bit older) works like a charm!
I had to because my grandma is ALWAYS right, Mexican grandma 💕
It comes in a packet. The flowers are dry. You have to make it from scratch... You have to boil it and then strain the boiled water from the flowers
Yes, I understand what you mean ☺️ but my grandma isn't a pushy lady she just tells me to stick with my gut. I didn't know that babies who breastfeed are rare to getting constipated 😊 but I do appreciated you letting me know 🙂
