I am 23 weeks today and still have not felt my baby boy. I have an anterior placenta which essentially is a buffer between me and baby kicks but I am getting frustrated and want to feel something already. Doctor said I may not feel anything until 25 weeks when the movements are stronger. 2 more weeks then. Anyone else not feel baby until later in their pregnancy? Any other anterior placentas out there?
@co1017, thank you! Yes! Enjoy the calm before the storm because the baby will definitely be giving you a beating from the inside before you know it lol! One day you feel nothing, the next they're having their own kickboxing class in your tummy lol
@mommabird, This is my first so I am sure that is part of my delayed feeling but knowing a second time mommy did not feel until later makes me feel better. I know I will regret complaining about him not moving eventually like you said. Haha! 😜
@co1017, yes we do!! I sure hope do haha. It will be nice to hear her and make sure she is ok!
Mine is anterior but this is my second pregnancy so I felt her daily around 20-21 weeks. Don't worry, pretty soon you'll be smacking her bottom telling her to calm down so you can get some rest lol.
@1sttimemommy0516, Thank you for sharing! That makes me feel so much better that the movements are coming but I just have to wait a little longer. Haha! I keep saying to enjoy the calm before he starts beating me from the inside like you said. Good luck to you as well! 😆
@newmama2016, You will feel so much better after you get one! My doctor said the same so we just have to hang in there. ☺
I have an anterior placenta and didn't feel constant movement until about 24-26 weeks. It sucked because I'm a FTM and I kept hearing about everyone else feeling their baby move early and I wasn't feeling anything. I'm 36 weeks now and it feels like she's ripping my insides open at times lol! Best of luck to you 😊
I don't even have that yet, but as soon as my next paycheck goes through I am getting one.. the stress is just too much to take, especially now that we are in the 20 weeks! Nope, not alone! My OB said this was actually a pretty common thing, it sucks, like alot, but common. 🤐 @co1017
@newmama2016, Yes! That is exactly what it means. Ok, I'm glad I'm not alone in this. I have a doppler I use to check heartbeat because that is all I can do to make sure baby is still ok in there. Ugh. 😕
That means the placenta is on top right? If so ✋✋✋✋ I thought I had been feeling movements but now idk. Have not felt anything for awhile. the placenta looks so big on ultrasound and her little face is always smooshed into it. And I am a bigger girl to begin with. It is frustrating.
@1sttimemommy0516, LOL!!! I will definitely try to enjoy while it lasts and not worry so much. TY!!!
