hyperemesis during pregnancy (HG) besides home iv care anyone know anything else that's helps. I start classes for school May 3rd and would like to be well enough to actually attend.
This isn't my first though and I literally can hold down nothing I've been told Zofran isn't recommended during the first trimester anymore and after being pumped full of it with my first pregnancy and her dying as a result of defects we were told could've been caused by it. I'm not going to test it. I'm also anemic and a type 1 diabetic with extremely low bs because I can't keep my medicine down let alone any juice or food my blood sugars plummet causing seizures and etc every time I go to the ER I end up staying for at least 2 weeks each time. this time I really don't have the time to be able to take off school.
I don't see them doing a home iv when all it is, is extreme sickness. it's pregnancy way of kicking your ass. Honestly nothing helps me with mine. Zofran if you take it regularly and take it an hour before getting out of bed. staying hydrated, it helps if you have a big cup of some sort, gives you a better visual of how much you're drinking, if you feel sick I've learned drinking water only makes it worse, especially if you had just woken up and not had a chance to eat. also eating small meals or items all day.
yeah it is I've been so sick just standing makes me feel lightheaded and dizzy
bs - blood sugars
