Irritation levels rising..... I'm seriously not in the mood for the kids to be piled in our bedroom playing the ps4 when all I wanna do is relax! This is becoming an everyday occurrence with them on the Playstation for hours at a time! Then I'm the asshole parent if I say no or if I cut it short... Sorry, but my bedroom is supposed to be my sanctuary to relax when I need to chill... Not to be forced to listen to gunfire and bombs from call of duty, or shenanigans from whatever other game they decided to play! And that's the only time they wanna come in here... So it's not like I'm refusing to spend time with them or anything like that (don't get it twisted)... Can't put the ps4 in the living room coz they'll trash it. And my s/o is a pushover, so I'm always "bad cop"... Ughhh!

@emkasting, we have all that... that only prevents the sound of the game itself. but sound still comes out of the controllers and then they're still talking to people they're playing with online, screaming at the tv, and arguing with each other for whatever nonsense reason because there's 4 of them... it's relentless! I just feel like I'm not being backed up when I say 1 hour should be long enough in our bedroom for game time when they all have cell phones, tablets and laptops of their own. it's not a matter of spending quality time together, coz, believe me, that's not why they come in here. they completely zone out...
You should get them some Bluetooth headphones ☺️ that way you won't have to hear it!!

why do they keep getting new ones if they continue to break them. .I wouldn't have bought anything
I don't want them playing it at all, so no... When we moved the ps3 into the living room, they broke it within 2 weeks and scratched majority of the games.... Makes no damn sense coz they're 15, 12, 10, and 8... They know better! They're just careless sometimes. I'm not bouta let it happen again! @s_n_tmommy

Yeah that is very very true. I'm sorry! I would be so annoyed too. I don't even like when my boyfriend plays xbox and is yelling at the tv. I can't imagine!
