The dr said my placenta is "lower than normal". Has anyone else been told that? What can it mean?
It isn't really anything to worry about this early. It can actually move up, but they will monitor it to make sure it isn't covering your cervix later in your pregnancy. I have an anterior placenta where my placenta is in the front, and they will also check again before birth to make sure it isn't covering my cervix.
It means your placenta is close to the cervix, so they will monitor it. If the placenta was covering the cervix and didn't move by your due date then you'd probably need a c-section @lionesssmommy @brandidodge
@babymay2016, thank you so much for the information! The ER dr told me so I'll be following up with my dr Monday! I was just worried cuz I didn't know exactly what it meant
