Yeah with my 2nd. Most first time mom's have longer labors but not always. With my first I went in at 6 pm and pushed 3 times before having him at 1 am so that was pretty quick but still plenty of time to get things together before leaving the house. I hope he feels better about it knowing he won't be missing anything :)

My dr. had me concerned about not getting to the hospital in time with my daughter because my labor with my firstborn went pretty quickly it was 7 hours long but my labor with my daughter ended up being 18 hours as a matter of fact I got sent home for a few hours after the first time I got to the hospital

reassure him you'll just call him home so he can take you in. labor usually takes hours and you'll most likely have plenty of time to get to the hospital :)

@sweetlove94, yeah he can he's just worried, he doesn't want to miss a call or have the asshole manager working the night it happens and be a smart ass about him leaving, and trust me that dude does not care. Plus my husband is having a hard time requesting for the time off cause the have a new system and its all frustrating. 😞

mine is too good thing he is home for 21 days as of tomorrow @sweetlove94 not everyone can leave for the birth of a child I know my SO it would take him 24 hours to get home, because he would have to wait for his relief to get there, and that's if his relief chooses to come in. he could choose not to come in till he is scheduled to come in.

Can't he leave work if you do?
