It's not strange at all, in fact it's good for their language development, it starts young! They may not understand what you're saying yet, but they are learning patterns of language, conversation, sounds and more even from the womb!!! I used to read to Melody a lot more, haven't lately and now I feel bad lol....
Not silly at all. Good job, Momma! It's how they learn to talk, and develop a love for reading. Read to her now, and before you know it she'll be reading to you.

No not at all I bought my baby Dr Seuss when he was a month old and read it to him I still read it to him ☺️
