this isn't pregnancy related but i went to the doctor for my 6 weeks post birth appointment and was told I should use Mirena IUD. I need to learn a little more about it before I decide to have it. has anyone used it before what did you like and not like about it, and did you have any side effects???
I also had a great experience with mine. 4 years and no pain, eventually no period, I didn't gain much weight (around 5 pounds) and I took it out myself at home and got pregnant three months after taking it out.
I have a different iud and all though I have bleeding every now and then I have never had a problem. mine is a 3 year
I work with a physician daily who has a lot patients with mirenas after pregnant especially. I have seen more of out patients have mant, many problems with them than success
I had mine for 13 years with no problems. I would get cramps with periods but that's about it. It was perfect for me. But everyone's body responds to it differently. I plan on getting it back in after this baby.
I know someone who had theirs tear too and I told the doctor and she said that's super rare tho, I'm just not sure wht to do, maybe I should just use the pill idk....
I had it for a year and had it removed due to major pains constantly, I was bleeding for 6 months straight, I retained water like crazy and gained over 20 pounds that came off within 2 weeks right after having it removed. My body just didn't enjoy that thing at all..
I had it after my first son made my depression a thousand times worse in Canada it clearly says not to take with depression or anxiety but the American doesn't say that on the pamphlet ! Also got it after my second son and it went up in there and almost ripped through my uterus so I would say not to get it but everyone is different I know people who are fine with there's so it's all how you feel about it
i had a copper iud and it was horrible i had it for two years never bleed so much in my life. the mirena has hormones and ive heard that it works differently it all depends everyone is different
