Mommies from experience what kind of birth control have you used after having a baby. what did you like and dislike about it?
I had the iud for 4 years before taking it out. There are risks with all kinds but I liked the iud the best. I got pregnant with the depo twice, not reliable at all and it made my hormones act up.
@jeszarah_amia17, yes but I've heard horror stories about all birth control my mood is already out of control lol
Ohhh no are you serious...I was thinking about taking it off cuz I really gain so much weight plus I always have mood swing which I don't like!! @summer415
@jeszarah_amia17, I don't care about a little weight gain but depo was insane I haven't met someone who hasn't had a ton of problems with depo. with the iud I've heard stories about it moving and embedding in your uterine wall which caused then to have yo have surgery to have it removed :o
I have the IUD I have the 5 years ...so far so good but I didn't get no period at all smh plus I gain weight!! 😩
@mjsmama, I was worried about the one that goes inside because I get yeast infections and utis pretty easily as it is and that was one thing I never thought to ask about is if it messes with your balance
@sarahdrew, I was on the pill before but never long enough to know how it affected me since being pregnant I had to go off my anxiety meds so I know how mood changing is the worst
I had the one that went in my arm after I had my son. what I like about it is it keeps you from getting pregnant but what I didn't like was it changes your oder down in your crotch and I wasn't able to tolerate it more so I had mine taken out 3 days ago. hopefully I don't get pregnant before August 14th (which is my son's 1st birthday)
@supermommy31082, being a female just sucks lol I want another baby just not for about two years! @amberhott16 did that give you any weight gain? I knew a girl that had hers break in her arm.
I was on the mini pill while breastfeeding and then just a regular pill, I had been using the pill for years and it just made sense to keep doing it..... however after having a baby when I was on the pill it messed with my mood horribly, I was all over the place (even about a year after having my baby) so it's not for everyone
yeah see what worked for me these last six years was condoms and the plan b pill cause the pill obviously didn't work the shot did what it did to you to me and I just wasn't trusting any other one so I had loads of condoms and the Plan B pill was always handy
@amberhott16, what's that? the one that goes in your arm or the one that goes in your vagina
@supermommy31082, I've been on depo and I hated it I was so active and ate healthy and still gained a bunch of weight with a bunch of other side affects! this is my first baby and I'm only 20 so I don't want to get my tubes tied (:
Well I got pregnant with my first two on the pill not cool but after my son I was on the depo 5 years and it was cool just didn't like side effects and I thought it made me sterile so I got off but 6 years later I'm pregnant with baby #3 lol so that my friend would be best this time I'm getting my tubes tied no more babies for me 👎👎👎

weird life coincidences..
What are some weird coincidences that have happened to you?
plastic surgery
If you could have any procedures done, what would they be?
What have you learned from/on Mom.life?
What would you do with $25,000
If you received an extra $25,000. What would you do with it? ?
I only took the iud out because I wanted to start trying, I got pregnant 3 months after taking it out, the depo can take up to a year for your period to normalize after stopping it.
