HELLP! Every diaper I have changed today has been #2.. 8 poop diapers! I think it's just because he is getting more teeth in but his butt is really raw. I'm keeping it dry and putting diaper rash cream on it, but when I wipe him he screams Bc it's hurting him. When I hold him like on my side he won't even put his legs around me he's keeping them together because it's hurting him so bad! Is there anything else I can do?? Would baby powder help? Plzzzzz someone reply

When this used to happen to my boys I would let them soak in the tub, most of the time it will sooth their butt. just keep up with the diaper cream too.

Use corn starch and coconut oil. The oil will keep the rash from getting any pee or poop on it & the corn starch will dry up the rash. That is all I ever use. No diaper cream has ever worked better. Hope your baby feels better soon.

My 5.5 month old has been going through the same thing due to a stomach bug. Here are a few suggestions, gently pat dry his bum with a soft towel after every diaper change and then apply a THICK coat of diaper cream (either Triple Paste or Calmoseptine). Let him be without a diaper whenever possible to air out his rash...I put down a bunch of towels and then let him do tummy time without a diaper for as long as possible. Also let him soak in the bath for 10 minutes with 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda. Hopefully this helps!

Thanks everyone! I let him go without a diaper for a few minutes to dry out he peed on the floor he's almost 11 months old so I can't keep him in one place I will definitely do the bath as soon as he gets up. And the other stuff tonight. I hope he can sleep ok I feel so bad :(

@jadestarlight, thank you me too, I was almost in tears trying to change his diaper. He's only had anything like this one other time and it was barely anything it sucks

My son went through this about the same age. He had diaherra so bad that it was making his butt raw. He would just scream when I touched it or anything! It was so hard. I ended up taking him to the er and he was dehydrated so they did ivs and then they gave him some medicine & some cream to put on his butt. It sucks when you can't do much to help. I hope he feels better soon!!
