How do you keep baby from using you as a pacifier without giving up breastfeeding? Whenever he's upset and I'm around, he wants the boob. For other people he will take a pacifier and settle just from rocking, etc, but not for me. Any advice??

WHY DOES IT SEEM LIKE MY BABY IS TRYING TO USE MY BOOBS AS A PACIFIER TO...HE EATS WHEN HE IS HUNGRY BUT ITS STARTING TO SEEM LIKE HE WILL GO TO SLEEP ON MY BOOB AND NOT TAKE HIS PACIFIER..HE DOESNT LIKE THE PACIFIER FROM THE HOSPITAL. MAYBE I SHOULD BUY HIM A PACIFIER THATS FOR BREASTFED BABIES..HES GONNA HAVE TO GET ONE FOR WHEN HE IS AT DAYCARE BECAUSE I WONT BE NEAR FOR ATLEAST 5-6 HOURS 😣😣
When did you Mommy’s take the pacifier away from your baby/toddlers?? And how?
this girl just implied if you give your baby a pacifier that means you’re a bad mom bc you’re “plugging them up & not finding out what’s wrong with them” mind you, this girl doesn’t even have any kids. Karter takes a pacifier when he goes to sleep & as soon as it falls out (which it always does) i take it away. other than that i KNOW what’s wrong w/ him. he only cries when he’s bored or hungry. so🤷🏻 ♀ before you judge other mothers for their mothering how about you have some kids yourself first then tell me how it goes for you🤬
You know you have children when... You get to work and notice that your pants have smudges of unidentifiable origin from the knee down. ?

Hahah funny thing is he will take a bottle from me without a problem! And he was really tired while we were out yesterday and he took a paci from me with no problem! So I think maybe he just needs the boob when he is really upset and I'm definitely not going to deny him that. @babylove11416 @amaresmama @wiccanmommy

My baby is 7 weeks and she just started using the pacifier. I use the soothie kind. I started trying to give it to her while changing her and while she's awake on her back looking at her toys etc... It took a few days but now she takes it from me! I would try to introduce it slowly. Now if she would only take a bottle from me and not my boob all the time lol

because he knows you as mommy. you have the boob so he always gonna know you as mommy booby. he'll take a Bobo from others because it's not you. it has to do with how they see you as. like example. mom is as boob, with daddy is bottle if you pump. :)
