I was told to fast for 1 hour before the test, but to make sure I had plenty of protein for breakfast, like bacon and eggs. just nothing with sugar and no breads cause those process like sugar.

I wasn't told to fast for my one hour. I ate normally that day and had my appt that evening.

I guess everyone's doc is different because I wasn't told to fast. I was actually told TO eat something light a couple hours beforehand because if you fast the test won't be an accurate reading of your sugars since you probably don't normally fast

Yeah, my docs said to fast. I'm not allowed to eat after midnight the night before :/

No you can't eat anything for about an hour it can throw off your results
