@proudmommyofdeilamonae, it's a boy and he's going to be 2 months on the 23rd. Because my mother in law is sick she can't travel with her youngest son who has autism.

I used a baby carrier in the airport and just kept her on my lap during flight. Pretty sure some mommies would call me the worst mother ever for not having her use her car seat. She slept the whole time...it was so easy!! how long is your flight?

We took the train from Fresno To Maricopa Az it was about a 12 train ride. My son was 8 months at the time. He did great he loved the ride. We won his car seat and stroller and our suit case and a bag of snacks haha. With a train each person an take up to 5 bags and they don't charge for weight. We just put his car seat and stroller by the carrie on section . And it was fine

We took a trip from Cali to Arizona when our girl was 1 month old, we drove though....it's not so bad just make sure people don't get in baby's face and I'm sure it'll be fine 😊
