Sorry girlie's. now all settled at home after being released. so I got admitted to hospital Thursday and had the gel to soften my cervix. It didn't work so 6 hours later I got some more which also didn't work so they left me overnight. Friday morning they broke my waters which didn't set of labour so about 10.30 I was put onto the hormone drip. then came the contractions. horrible contractions that i thought must be labour coming on. had to have pethidine for the contractions. about 5 o'clock I got checked. 2cm dilated. so higher dose of hormone was given. needed an epidural. checked at 9.20. 3cm dilated. doctors consulted. They tried 4 hours observation on hormone one last time to see if I progressed.4 hours later. nothing. with the amount of pain I was in and the fact I was contracting regularly but without effect I was taken to theatre to have an emergency section. This is when I found out that the epidural site wasn't effective enough and while worked perfectly on my right side. wasn't working on the side they needed to make the incision on and no amount of drug was changing that so they decided to put me to sleep which was rather scary. woke up some time later to find out that I'd had my little chunky monkey at 9lb5oz! I bled more than usual and took a little longer than usual to come around but im am all ok just a bit tender! so ended up with a rather horrible first labour! but she's worth it 😍😍😍
