Completely new to parenting and I never baby sitted a newborn do I have no experience. Which is why I'm asking experienced mommies what's the best method to get your baby to sleep in their bassinet? I let her cry for 10 mins before I pick her back up, which I know is probably not good but I don't know what exactly is..
I'm learning as I go. my son is a week old and last night was our first night with him. best way we got him to sleep was to swaddle him and give him a paci, then rock him or sway him to sleep. then we transfer him once he's out until his next feeding OR until we see he's wide awake
I maybe a ftm but my baby girl sleeps in her bassinet. what I do is feed her and burp her even if shes breast fed something about that motion calms her I let her sleep on my chest for a couple minutes make sure she's asleep then transfer her to the bassinet she stays like that until next feeding.😊
Should I pick her up after a certain amount of time or just let her cry it out? I don't know if it's good tho
and its completely okay for them.to cry its good for them it strengthens the lungs so don't worry if they cry for a bit. but obviously don't let them cry for hours lol
CO sleeping is not safe by no means for a newborn and ( I co sleep with my 1 year old ) but never whioenshe was that small you could soffcate. you need to swaddle your baby tight so she/he feels like their still inside you then place them in the bassinet and place rolled up receiveing blankets around baby and tuck them in around them it helps them feel like their tight in the womb still good kuck
every baby is different.. I Co slept and bedshared with my babies and still do with the newborn.. but my first born slept on her tummy bc she didn't like being on her back.. she's fall asleep on my chest and then I'd transfer her to her bassinet or where ever she was gonna sleep that night
Thank you everyone, i will be trying some of these ☺️
