hey Ladies. HELP! lol!
I'm 4 days past my c section and my baby is still on NICU so I haven't been able yo breastfeed so I'm learning to just pump.
My first time breastfeeding and pumping , I didn't do I with my previous children.
lm learning now to pump on his feeding schedule at nicu every 3 hours. I was pumping whenever I felt I needed to even if it was every hour and I was making my supply overly full and painful. I didn't know not to do that until nicu told me to get on his schedule every 3 hours and I won't over produce.
Is it normal to pump until your boobs are really soft but a few minutes after pumping they become hard again? I know its only been 3 days since my milk has even came in but I was just wondering if this is how itll be the first week or so.

That won't happen at all. But you don't want to let them stay rock hard and start clogging. That will lead to mastitis and other problems. You can stay on your pumping schedule and keep pumping as needed just for relief, not until empty.
