my daughter has had a tablet and she to play with alot but they were educational app and for videos I downloaded YouTube kids so it was a kid friendly tablet. She use to love being on it but it wasn't an everyday thing she rather play outside or with toys so to me it good that you don't want your child stuck yo a phone till a certain age. I rather have my kids outside playing in dirt lol

I let my son (4) use my phone now and then for a good 6 months but he started asking for it more and more and then started throwing fits when I had to take it back. He is no longer allowed to use my phone and I refuse to buy him a tablet.

my mom let's my 2 year old play with her phone.... my husband and I dont.... we will sometimes pull up a cartoon. for him to watch while out at dinner, but he knows not to touch ours

@ftm2babyc, when we are home it's in my night stand and no battery since I leave it on and never use it. I only plug it in when I think we'll need it. I don't want him getting attached to it. He never asks or looks so that's good! Lol

For Xmas my son who is two got a kids Ipad thing from my husbands aunt. I never really let him use it unless I have to take him to appointments with me or out to eat to keep him entertained. He learned a lot from it tho. Numbers 1-6. Abc's and know all his shapes and colors since it has all educational apps. When we are home we do all that with flash cards. It deff helped with him learning. At age 2 I think he's pretty smart!

U can teach them appropriate times to play w/ one maybe educational purposes right before bed for only a few min. If u teach them at a young age how much time on a tablet or iPad is appropriate they won't try to consume so much as they get older. ☺️

Me. I refuse to just allow my daughter to become a zombie. Too many children don't know how to just be a kid nowadays. They think they have to be on technology all day, instead of running around outdoors, getting dirty, going fishing, etc.

I'm not! my step son is 2 with a iPad. my nephew is 6 with 2 iPads, a galaxy tablet and a cellphone. ik she'll probably end up having one anyways but I'm really gonna try cause it's ridiculous.
