Questions for moms who pump/breast feed. Once you had your baby how quickly do they start eating at the hospital. I had my son 4 years ago and he was early so he was sent right to the nicu. So I really don't know what to do if I go full term with this baby.

I had my son 7 weeks early and the nurses had me try pumping and I couldn't ever get anything. We had to use just formula for him. I plan on pumping again with this baby.

I latched my baby on as soon as they wrapped him up and gave him to me

Immediately. I had my first latch10 minutes after birth. If you go to full term. Don't pump before 6 weeks pp. Rules with breastfeeding and puming change with early term and full term babies.

I wasn't able to get my son to latch so it was about 2 hours after he was born that we fed him formula. It took me 3 days to get any milk from pumping and I've been pumping and supplementing with formula for 4 months now
