Hi everyone. Am a first time mom. I am having serious pains when my baby is latching. And my nipples can't take it anymore. What can i do to make it easier plz ?? I really wanna keep breast feeding her 😞

@meagansimone, thanks. Saw them at the hospital but yet my baby still hurt me when sucking. Will try again at WIC
lactation consultant an ibclc is an internatal board certified lactation consultant
@meagansimone sorry what's LC ? I do have WIC so I can request for it. I left the hospital already
Nipple shield should be last resort. You need to check for ies first. Get in touch with an lc or ibclc. Wic has them, hosptals will as well.

yes or even at Walmart u can get one there's one specifically for sensitive nipples which is thicker and will help more so that it dint hurt as bad
There's something called a Nipple shield that helps if it hurts I think it's sold at Target
she could be latched on wrong. majority of boob should be in baby mouth not just the nipple. if it's too painful try nippoe cream it helps. or nipple shields might make it easier as well
Is she latched correctly? Make a c shape with your hand on the side of your boob. Tilt nipple up and put in babys mouth, nipple should be at the top of his mouth. Has he been checked for ties?

I am 28 weeks and my son is already 3 pounds. I am inducing myself at 37 weeks.
The latch shouldn't hurt. Have them check for ties as well. And make sure latch is deep enough.
