my mom still keeps telling me my milk will dry up if I don't eat a meal. I just haven't had an appetite since the baby was born which was only 6 days ago. I've been eating healthy snacks all day and sometimes I try to eat a little more but I never finish it. I have milk though... I'm just worried my eating will affect it
At least eat oatmeal once even twice a day if you can it will help with your milk and its filling !
you do need about 300 extra calories a day when breastfeeding.
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!

Do you have to eat good in order to breastfeed? My MiL always asks if I'm eating good and I tell her yea just because I don't want to argue with her (I only eat like once or twice if I'm lucky a day) but I mean, there are women in third world countries who breastfeed and I'm sure they rarely eat themselves too. She always says that if I don't eat proper meals throughout the day my milk will 'dry up' is this true??

This is NOT happening !!!!!!! I swear I had given up! But I'm 5 days late and I just got my BFP ???
Opinions on hungrier baby milk? My girl is drinking well over 30 oz in 24 hours. I tried her with water inbetween feeds but she just won't settle in till she has milk as she's hungry not thirsty. She's awake like 18 hours a day 😭
your milk won't dry up from not eating. as long as you're nursing milk will be there. but what CAN happen if you don't get enough calories, your body will take all of your nutrients and give them to the baby, do that long enough and your body will go into starvation mode, so when your body runs out of nutrients it'll start eating away at muscle tissue and so on.
this happened to me with my first, so I ended up struggling with anorexia for 3 years until I got pregnant with my second.
