The silica packets are designed to remove oxygen from the surrounding area to prevent mold. If a young child were to consume them, the child would definitely die as the silica beads would most likely absorb the oxygen in their system, causing vital organs to shut down!!!!! Where would these young kids get such an idea?????

Oh well idk then I'm glad they got them before anything happened to that poor baby
