Dont .. get your own && do it on your own because if anything was to ever happen "not saying it will" you will have something he won't have a say so about . me and my Fiancé agreed that my name would be on the title because I bought it with my money but we still share the car.

hmmm I wouldn't go for that. sounds fishy. my bf bought me a car for my birthday, he pays the insurance and it's in my name. he's amazing!!

if yall aren't married then don't i repeat dont do that get your own car and put it in your name. that sounds sketchy.

@ashley89, I would feel that way to I would talk to him and try to get him to realize that having two cars would be a great thing he can have his truck and with your money you will buy a family car , for you and the kids that way it would be easier getting around if one has to work and the kids have appointments do your best to try to get him to see your not doing this for you, its just so you and the kids will always have a reliable transportation

if he is only a boyfriend. I would tell him put a ring on it and say I do then everything I own you own and everything you own I own. I did that with my man, worked like a charm

I didn't put my husbands name on the title of my vehicle until we were married. It sounds like he wants to take part ownership on YOUR car. And if he sells his truck he would have half the rights to your car. Unless that is what you want then don't do it until you are married. Otherwise he will be on the title no matter what until he signs off on it. There is no way to take someone off s title unless they sign off.

you guys have very good points and that's what I've been telling him ! and get this the car I'm wanting works....runs ...has no problems and the car he's wanting has problems!!!!!! so what if I buy the car he wants then it doesn't work and I'm fucked out of a car? he's not getting it . He should have no say in the car you are purchasing with your money. If he was putting in money too I would understand but if it's just you paying for a car then he really should have nothing at all to say about it. Period. It's your choice. You need to either just go buy the car you want without him or let him dictate what you do.

it sounds like he wants a toy to work on ... men love cars especially cars they can fix on just tell him right now you think its best if you get a running reliable car for the kids , even if I where married to my Fiancé I would kind of second guess that choice , but I do wish you luck I hope he comes around and sees its not the time to buy a fixer upper

OK, let him sell his truck first, then put both your money together and buy a car together.
